Bob Kosty - June 17, 2018 at 4-7pm
Bob was born in Corning, got into guitar playing in the late 60's after hearing Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Grand Funk. He played in a few local bands, the first Being AXE which was a power trio with Bob on guitar, Rob Van Wie on bass, and yes, Jim Kosty on drums. We all sang. Soon other interests called us into reforming the band, Jim moved on to guitar, we added the late great Dave Abbey on drum, and Ray Spear on second guitar. FYI, AXE was the very last band to perform for the Colonial Days Block dance in the square on June 9th, 1972... Agnes soon changed everything in our little town.
